I started my first day at work.. well orientation first, then thursday they'll put me on schedule.
Power went out last night around 8/9 pm. I fell asleep around 10, then woke up around 12am... I couldn't fall back asleep till i think 4 am. The power came back and I woke up, then I fell back asleep. I got out of bed around 7 since I had to be at orientation at 8:30.
Also I never said where I am working.. The Home Depot. Yeah, Adrian tipped me off that they were hiring, I applied online so many times, and nothing. He came over and told me to go to the site, I went into my account and he changed a bunch of the things I applied for. About 3 hours after that, I got a call and was told I have an interview (which was last week) After a piss test, I was called on sunday and had to report to the store I'm working for to pick up some papers that tell me where the orientation building is. So starting today, I'm officially employed. Even though I still have training and orientation stuff to go to, I still get payed for this week. On thursday, I have to report to the store and will be put on schedule and be taught how to punch in and stuff.
The cool thing is, I'm employed, downside is, I work the lot. I have to collect carts and stuff, in this freakin' heat... GOD! I'm hoping they would bump me inside to another department in a few months. The HR rep said lot attendants usually there for about 3 months, after that, they can get bumped into a different department if they need someone.
