Music Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Could Have Lied

I'm getting the hang of using the mighty mouse I got yesterday, there are a few things I don't like, but overall, I like it.

A few things I don't like: It makes a squeaky noise when I push down to click. It gets annoying sometimes. When I'm too deep into my music, I don't hear it. Another, is the inability to customize the clicks, there are 4 buttons (or actually 4 sensors that modify the click) and the drivers that come with it allow you to customize, but only with the options they allow.

The customize screen in System Prefs.

The options that you could use for each buttons. The other is for launching applications.

Downside is that you can't have both the left and right click as the primary buttons. You have to have one primary and the other a right click. I could turn off the middle click, but I did that cause I don't use Dashboard really. If I want to use it, I use the keyboard command to bring it up. Also, I haven't got the hang of squeezing the sides to use expose. I want be able to have each button do a keyboard command or something similar. The only thing I could think of, is making an applescript and having it launch when I click down. But thats a theory, I don't know if it would work, and I don't know how to make an applescript.

Upsides: The little ball could scroll 360 degrees. It made it a little easier navigating large websites. And I like that I could adjust the speed of the scrolling. The default was really slow, and it didn't dawn on me right away that I could change the speed. It made playing Civ 3 a little easier. I don't have to rely on using the keyboard too much. I took the time and effort to learn the keyboard commands, now I don't need to use most of them.

I've looked around and people made apps that could change the buttons on the mighty mouse. But they're all shareware and around $20, and I don't have the money to buy an application to customize the mouse when I could just stick with using the keyboard for the commands.
